Ability to hide Workspaces tab per profile
I am not able to use workspaces for my work profile as we use Azure DevOps. Even if DevOps were supported, I am unsure I would use the feature. Therefore it is just wasting screen space for me. It would be great if it could be hidden for profiles where it is not useful.

DunngooffeedYeah honestly why is this even forced on, who asked? Looking at "Workspaces tutorial" page everytime i open gitkraken will get annoying...

Mattias SandströmAlso - since this feature doesn't allow group local repos it's pretty much useless for small companies.

CKNo option to minimize the workspace tab to an icon? No option to close it completely? Your own support page for the interface does not even include this update.
https://support.gitkraken.com/start-here/interface/
Please let me disable this ASAP, the only thing it does for me is take up space that could be used for other tabs. -

Chris LaineWhile I might try the feature on some future project (one which DOES have multiple repos, where my current project does not), I am confused why the feature cannot be unpinned or the tab hidden. I can unpin everything else, so why not this one?
I do like to try new features and am often excited by the great things Gitkraken puts out. Like I said, later on I might try it, but for now I want my real estate back ;) -

V.L.Yes please, I do not wish to sacrifice extra space for feature I will not use

Nick PAlmost all visual features in GitKraken can be hidden or disabled. It seems a bit odd to release this visually noisy feature, and not provide a method for disabling it.
My work around was to install a previous version.
https://release.gitkraken.com/win64/GitKrakenSetup-8.1.1.exe
As a note, using the default shortcut, GitKraken will auto-update automatically when closed. So you will want to create a shortcut to the above version's executable from C:\Users\{user}\AppData\Local\gitkraken\app-8.1.1\gitkraken.exe. -

JasonThe idea behind workspaces sounded promising - but without support for self-hosted repos it's useless for our organization. And since we regularly have a lot of repos open loosing tab space for a feature we can't use feels like a step backwards. Even if self-hosted repos were supported in workspaces I'm not sure we'd use the feature so being able to hide this tab (or at least shrink it down to just the icon so it doesn't take up as much space) would return a lot of usability for us.

GitKraken is awfulEvery update is a further departure from the pleasant UI and simple interface that made me push for GitKraken's adoption by my company. I can't advocate for this bloatware anymore and I'll be pushing my company to pick a different client soon. If you want to add features, make users opt in.

JS LavertuJust to add to what other people have said: I might use workspaces in the future, but I don't right now. There's exactly zero reason why it can't be hidden.

JohnPlease remove this as I can't even use workspaces as it does not support LAN Git servers like Gitea or local repos. Only the money making Git services are supported. It takes up valuable space.

Justin HullI too would like to hide this tab.

Jonathan AdminHello everyone, v8.2.1 is out and the Workspaces tab can now be closed to save space in the tabs bar while not in use. A small icon has been added to quickly reopen the tab when needed.
If you don't see the prompt to upgrade, you may download the latest version directly from https://gitkraken.com/download -

Joey DriessenGreat work for the fast implementation but to be honest it is a mediocere implementation.
It only about halfs the width it uses but for somebody who cannot (azure Devops) or will not use it it still takes up way to much space.
Please make it possible to completely remove this tab.
As this ticket is Done I created a new suggestion here:
https://gitkraken.featureupvote.com/suggestions/264930/ability-to-completely-remove-workspaces-tab-per-profile
Most of the times I like the features you guys are creating but please think about users that might not can/want to use certain futures. -

Kindler ChaseI do not understand how this feature can be tagged as "done". There is still no ability to remove the workspace tab; only the option to "minimize" the tab; it never really closes or goes away. Why is Gitkraken forcing this unwanted UI element on us?

Thomas BishopThis is no solution. The Workspaces tab is still there. It's unfair and quite bad practice to impose unwanted features on paying customers. It betokens a lack of respect for those who invest in your business.

JTPlease allow us to remove tab entirely via the settings! Thanks!
